Special hiring for nurses, skilled workers in Pangasinan

PANGASINAN, February 22 (PIA) – A licensed recruitment agencyPangasinan (LRA) will hold special recruitment activities (SRAs) in Pangasinan for nurses and skilled workers for the Middle East.

The SRAs will be conducted in the Provincial Employment Services Office (PESO) of Bani on March 5-6, 2015; in PESO Anda on March 12-13; and in PESO Bolinao on March 20-21.

Director Grace Ursua of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in the Ilocos Region said the LRA has approved job orders for nurses and allied professions such as pharmacy technicians, dental technicians, occupational and respiratory therapists, x-ray technicians, biomedical equipment specialists, health information technicians, patient care technicians, medical coders, anesthesia technicians, medical emergency technicians, medical photographers and others.

“The skilled workers needed include web designers, tradesmen, electrical technicians, aided design computer operators, lifeguards, graphic operators, recreation specialists, waste management specialists, audio visual technicians, carpenters, plasterers, steel reinforcers and tillers,” she said.

Ursua said there is also a demand for professionals such as accountants, day care teachers, architects, civil engineers, payroll analysts, gym instructors, library assistants, telecom senior engineers, research coordinators, planning specialists and instructors.

“Qualified applicants should take advantage of these job opportunities in Saudi Arabia,” the regional director said.

“The DOLE commends the commitment of LRAs, PESOs and other partners in promoting employment among our workers through the conduct of SRAs.  While we continue to work with those concerned to increase local employment opportunities and address the job mismatch problem, working abroad remains to be an option for Filipinos,” she said.

According to Ursua, the DOLE is working to enter into bilateral, multilateral, regional, and international agreements and arrangements for skills upgrading, skills gap training, and mutual recognition of qualifications of Filipino professionals and trade workers.

“The goal is provide them more protection, open up access for their professional and trade practice, and thus, more job prospects,” she said.

All applicants interested to participate in the SRA should bring original and photocopies of their passports, resumes, transcript of records, diplomas, employment and training certificates, 2” x 2” pictures and other proofs of credentials. (MCA/AMM/PIA-1, Pangasinan/DOLE)
