As the advent and the ubiquity of today’s technology became widespread, the IT training aims to give the participants the basic skills and knowledge to equip them technically for future job opportunities. Vincent Mahinay, the IT instructor, included the following specifications in the training modules: basic computer fundamentals 1 & 2, Internet Fundamentals, Word Processing, Spread Sheet, Power point Presentation and Digital Media Fundamentals. Moreover, he emphasized that the importance of the training was not just bounded by knowing the basic technicalities or to bridge the physical gap between them and their families abroad but also to promote literacy in utilizing the technology with prudence.

With heartfelt delight, the participants expressed their gratitude by saying that they are very fortunate to be part of the said training.

For those OFWs, beneficiaries and dependents that are interested on undergoing the same training, they can visit the OWWA-Caraga office. The agency also conducts the same training in the office. They may register and are required to submit the following: accomplished form with 1×1 photo, Proof of OWWA Membership (for OFWs) and Proof of Relationship to OFW (for beneficiaries and dependents).
